They are suitable for residential, commercial, and agricultural wastewater systems, these pipes and fittings are versatile for various percolation needs including soil and sand polishing filters.
32mm PVC Straight Joiner for LPPN Pipework
This 32mm PVC straight joiner connects two compatible sections of 32 mm pressure pipe in a continuous straight line. Installers can use it to extend pipe runs or join cut lengths within low-pressure pipe networks, sand polishing filters and soil polishing filters.
The fitting has a socket at both ends. Therefore, it provides a simple inline connection without changing the pipe direction or creating an additional branch.
What does a straight joiner do?
A straight joiner, also known as a socket or coupler, joins two pipes of the same nominal diameter. Both pipe ends fit into the joiner and meet in a straight alignment.
Unlike a tee or cross fitting, the straight joiner does not divide the pipe run. Instead, it maintains one continuous 32 mm flow path through the connection.
Product features
- Nominal pipe size: 32 mm
- Straight inline connection
- Socket connection at both ends
- Joins two compatible 32 mm pipes
- PVC pressure fitting
- Uses suitable PVC glue
- Pressure rating: 10 bar at 20°C
- Suitable for approved LPPN applications
- Suitable for residential, commercial and agricultural systems
The stated pressure rating applies under the specified conditions. However, the operating pressure within an LPPN system depends on the pump, pipe length, elevation and friction losses.
Typical applications
The 32mm straight joiner may suit:
- Low-pressure pipe networks
- Sand polishing filter pipework
- Soil polishing filter systems
- Pumped percolation areas
- Extending a 32 mm pressure pipe run
- Repairing an accessible section of compatible pipe
- Residential wastewater systems
- Commercial and agricultural installations

Installation guidance
First, confirm that the joiner and both pipes use the same 32 mm outside diameter and jointing system. Next, measure and cut the pipe ends square.
Remove burrs, dirt, grease and moisture from the pipe ends. Then, dry-fit the pipes and joiner to check their alignment before applying PVC glue.
Apply suitable PVC glue to the pipe and fitting according to the glue manufacturer’s instructions. Insert each pipe fully into the joiner and hold the connection in position while the glue begins to set.
Keep both pipes straight and support the joint so movement does not place unnecessary strain on the fitting. Finally, allow the glued joint to cure for the recommended period before pressurising the network.
LPPN design considerations
A straight joiner produces some friction loss, although considerably less than many direction-changing fittings. Therefore, a hydraulic calculation should still include all fittings when the pipe network contains many joints.
Installers should also check:
- Pump flow rate and pressure
- Total pipe length
- Pipe diameter
- Vertical lift
- Number of fittings
- Orifice diameter and spacing
- Flush-valve positions
- Required residual pressure
